Inis Mor the largest of the 3 Aran Islands is situated 9 miles from the coast of Galway city. The limestone rock covered Islands is 9 miles long and 2 miles wide. The island has a current population of about 800 people.

 

 

 

The Islands has four perfectly preserved Stone Forts, which includes the spectacular cliff top fort of Dun Aonghas.
The Island features many spectacular sites, and one of the easiest ways to find your way around the island is to hire a bike as you come off the ferry, or take one of the Bus Tours organized by locals.
